TRANSPORTING THE OEUVRE FROM MEDIA TO MEDIA  (1989 - 1995)

Sport Art is born

Starting with the Danish newspaper Politiken, I publish a self-portrait with my wife accompanied by a text announcing the birth of a concept-group “Sport Art” and the score of our first soccer competition. Later, I take this out of context and with the complicity of the critic, Jan Kornum Larsen, decide to transport it into the newspaper Weekend Avisen.
Then several years later after many attempts, I manage to have it reframed in the magazine Torpedo, surrounded by another text (Karen Westman).
The oeuvre travels from one  mass media to another and becomes framed by articles which appear like archeological strata, fossilizing its past like the circles of a cut tree.
